About XonY
What is XonY?
XonY pulls together what public figures have said about the issues people care about. We cover politicians, business leaders, commentators, and other well-known figures, summarising their positions so you can quickly get up to speed.
Think of it as a quick-reference guide for the question: "What does [person] think about [topic]?"
How It Works
We use a mix of automated data collection and AI-assisted summarisation:
- Topic discovery: We look at what people are actually searching for to make sure we're covering topics with real public interest.
- Source gathering: For each person-topic pair, we pull from public sources including speeches, interviews, statements, voting records, social media, and more.
- AI summarisation: We use large language models to turn those sources into structured summaries, key quotes, and timelines.
- Review: We regularly check generated content for accuracy and fix anything that's off.
Sources
Content is drawn from publicly available material, including:
- Speeches and official statements
- News interviews and press conferences
- Voting records
- Social media posts
- Books, articles, and debate transcripts
- Government documents
Each topic page links to the sources it draws from, so you can always dig deeper.
How Often We Update
Content is updated on a rolling basis. High-profile pages get checked more frequently, and we add new topics and people as public interest shifts. Each page shows when it was last updated.

Editorial Approach
We aim to be neutral and accurate. That means presenting positions without editorialising, noting when views have changed over time, and favouring primary sources over second-hand reporting.
