Keir Starmer on Gaza

Keir Starmer, as Prime Minister, has adopted a decisive stance regarding the conflict, linking UK recognition of a Palestinian state to substantive actions by the Israeli government. His position also includes unequivocal demands for Hamas, requiring the immediate release of all hostages, signing a ceasefire, disarming, and accepting no role in Gaza’s future governance. He has supported increasing humanitarian aid access, noting that the suffering must end and that 500 trucks should enter Gaza daily by land. The leader has framed his actions as necessary because the two-state goal is currently under pressure like never before, justifying a proactive approach to revive the prospect of lasting peace.
