Mohammed bin Salman on Palestine

Mohammed bin Salman publicly maintains the long-standing Saudi policy that normalization with Israel is contingent upon establishing an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital. He has asserted that Saudi Arabia will not cease its diligent efforts to see this goal achieved, and his government's diplomatic efforts have reportedly yielded global support for this two-state solution framework. Furthermore, he has publicly declared that Gaza is Palestinian land, whose people's rights cannot be taken away by aggression, and has condemned Israeli assaults in the region.

However, reports suggest a significant divergence between his public diplomatic stance and his private views, where he allegedly told a US official that he does not personally care about the Palestinian issue, stating that the younger Saudi population is only now being introduced to it through the current conflict. This alleged statement followed earlier remarks where he was reportedly critical of Palestinian leadership for rejecting peace proposals.
